Congratulations to Nassau Community College, Head Coach Richard Speckmann, and Director of Athletics Mike Pelliccia for winning the 2008 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Championship at Nassau Community College in Garden City, New York, on Saturday and Sunday, May 10-11 2008. With that title, Nassau Community College with a final record of 12-3, now has 21 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse Championships. Nassau CC avenged regular season losses to both Onondoga CC and Essex CC by beating both of those schools in consecutive days during the national championship tournament, including Sunday's 11-6 win over Essex (10-7) at Mitchel Athletic Complex to collect its 21st national title and first since winning four straight from 1999-2002. Bill Kingston scored a game-high three goals for Nassau CC, and Bryan Renneisen and Richard Born each netted two. But the Lions' star was goalie Charlie Paar, who made 20 saves and was named the defensive MVP of the tournament. 2008 NJCAA Men's Lacrosse ChampionshipMay 10-11, 2008 Nassau Community College Garden City, New York
