| SUFFOLK GRANT WINS SECOND STRAIGHT REGION 15 DIII TITLE AND RETURN TRIP TO TYLER TEXAS |
With a hard fought 11 inning victory over Suffolk Selden on Sunday May 11 by a final score of 7-6, the Longhorns of Suffolk Grant earned their second straight trip to the NJCAA Division III Baseball World Series in Tyler Texas beginning May 17. The tournament was reduced to a two day Saturday, Sunday event at the Clippers Selden campus. The Longhorns, led by Region 15 Coach of the Year Bob Molinaro and tournament MVP Joe Manzella, defeated Nassau and Suffolk Selden twice to earn the title. Congratulations to Suffolk Grant and good luck in Texas.
