Nassau Community College  came to the National Junior College Athletic Association Division III Volleyball National Championships seeded 5th. The Lions showed some impressive blocking in their first match against 4th seed Itasca Community College out of Grand Rapids, Mn but lost in straight sets 23-25, 18-25, and 17-25

In their second match of the day, Nassau CC played Sandhills Community College from Pinehurst, NC.  The Lions rallied from their first match to win 3-1. The first game of the match went to Nassau CC 25-15. Sandhills won the second game 22-25. Nassau CC then won the next two games 25-22 and 25-23. 
/p>Nassau CC next plays 7th seed Montgomery Community College tomorrow, Sat. Nov. 13, at 10 am central time. If the Lions win the game they will place 4th in the nation in D3 Volleyball.
