  # 6 Ulster - 7, @ # 3 Orange - 11
Jim Riordon's three-run blast in the top of the sixth inning gave upstart SUNY Ulster a 7-0 advantage over host SUNY Orange.  Ulster maintained a 7-3 lead heading into the bottom of the eighth inning.  However, the Colts rallied, loaded the bases and tied the score on a Zac Menendez run scoring double.  Later in the frame, with the bases loaded and two-outs, Newburgh native Chris Fry singled home two runs to put Orange ahead, 9-7. In all, eight Colt players crossed the plate in the eighth.  Monroe resident Kyle Montross, who came in and pitched a scoreless seventh and eighth, closed things out in the ninth to preserve the 11-7 victory.  Menendez finished the day going 3-for-4 with a walk and 3 RBI.  In fact, the sophomore from Pine Bush was a triple shy of completing the cycle. Fry also collected three hits and scored three runs in the victory.  Orange will now face #2 Westchester in Saturday's 10am game at Rockland CC.  Ulster has been eliminated from the tournament.  

# 5 Dutchess - 2 @ # 4 Rockland - 12, 5 innings
Rockland quickly erased an early 1-0 deficit and soared past the Falcons, 12-2, Friday night.  The Hawks scored four times in the third and five times in the fourth inning to open up a eight-run lead.  John Ziznewski and Jared Croce, a pair of Staten Island natives, combined to drive in 9 runs.  Ziznewski went 3-for-3 with 3 RBI and two runs scored, while Croce went 2-for-3 with 6 RBI (which included a three-run home run in the fifth).  North Rockland graduate, Nick Viohl pitched five innings and allowed only a Matt Guarnaccia single.  Guarnaccia, a sophomore and Poughkeepsie native, also had an RBI. The Falcons (12-15) were ousted from the tournament.  Rockland (17-17) advances to play top-seeded Sullivan at Rockland at 1pm on Saturday.
