The Lady Mustangs defeated Lake Michigan College (Mich.) 78-73 in East Peoria, Ill., in the finals over the weekend.  The victory seals the Division II national championship for the second-straight season for Monroe as a relatively low seed. Last season they secured the title as the No. 11 seed and entering this year’s tourney they were seeded ninth.
