First Round
Suffolk CC Pair Leads After First Round...
Sulfolk CC teammates Darren McCormick and Andrew Owad both finished with a 78 after Thursday's first round of the 2012 Region XV JUCO Golf Tournament at the Phillip J. Rotella Memorial Golf Course in Haverstraw. Swirling winds kept most scores high above the par-72 course. Rockland's Colby Lewis is tied for third place with Sal LaRocca (Dutchess) after shooting an 81. Lewis, a Monroe-Woodbury graduate was last year's medalist, Westchester's Anthony Siguil is four shots behind the leader with an 82.
