Rockland Community College sophomore Colby Lewis shot a three-over par 75, and tallied a five-over par 293 for four rounds, which placed him second out of 88 golfers at the NJCAA Division III Men's Golf Championship Friday afternoon. Lewis fell three strokes behind Monroe Community College's Shane Dobesh (71-290) in a quest for Medalist honors at the week-long event at the Chautauqua Golf Course in Chautauqua, New York. The Monroe-Woodbury graduate had previously scored rounds of 72, 76, and 70 at the par-72 course. Minnesota State CTC took home the team championship, while Region XV Champion Nassau finished sixth. NCC's Eric Michalak placed eighth overall (302), while Suffolk's Darren McCormack finished 11th with a 307. Lewis, Michalak, and McCormack all earned NJCAA All-American status.
